Equal Opportunity Centre (EOC)
Role
To facilitate equal opportunities to reserved category students, ladies,
differently abled and other neglected classes; and ensuring that maximum such
students benefit from schemes from Social District Welfare office.
Functions :-
- Inform all the students of reserved categories, ladies, differently abled and other neglected classes about all schemes of Social District Welfare office.
- Provide them guidance, advice and information in all aspects for social inclusion.
- Inform them about various scholarship schemes, foreign and out of state scholarship scheme; free-ships, competitive exams, self employment
- Help them sort their problems while filling application son MahaDBT portal.
- Address the issues, if any, of staff and students, belonging to schedule caste / schedule tribes in the Institute and prevent atrocities against them.
- Enroll and register students into this centre.
- Conduct activities for betterment in interpersonal relations with such students.
- Implement the reservation policy of the Government for the welfare of reserved category candidates
- Ensure timely disbursal of scholarship amounts.
- Maintain yearly records of scholarships sources, amounts, activities and student beneficiaries.
