History of Department

Department of B. Voc. (Software Development) Established in the Academic Year 2014-15.B. Voc. course was inaugurated by Indian Computer Scientist Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and P.D.E.A.'s Hon. Secretary Adv. Sandip Kadam.

Department Of B.Voc(software Development) was established in 2014 under the vocational course. M.Voc(Software Development and Management) was established in 2020. The course was affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Aim

To create an ability with job ready skills and knowledge making them highly employable in industry specification role.

 

Objectives

1.To provide judicious mix of skills relating to a profession and appropriate content of General Education.

2 .To ensure that the students have adequate knowledge and skills, so that they are work ready at each exit point of the program.

3.To provide flexibility to the students by means of pre-defined entry and multiple exit points.

4.To integrate NSQF within the undergraduate level of higher education in order to enhance employability of the graduates and meet industry requirements.

1. Use of various ICT tools for effective teaching learning process.
2. Individual Computer for each student during the practical session.
3. Learning Management System Moodle(LMS).
4. Conducted Aptitude Test For OJT.
5. Guest Lectures by Industry experts and Alumni.

2. Department organized Skills& Employability Enhancement program in cooperation with NASSCOM & SAP Labs India.

3. Pre-Placement activity project guidance for UG students by industry experts and Alumni under OJT.

4. To run different short term courses under OJT like Web Development, Automation Tools with selenium ,Hardware and Networking.

• Organization of student enrichment programs and Guest Lectures.

Ms.S.A.Kadam  was awarded with Best Teacher award 2019.

Student Achievements:

1. Student of F.Y.B.Voc(SD) Sagar(Chagan) Rathod participated in Seiko Kai Invitational State Karate Championship and got gold medal.

2. Student of F.Y.B.Voc(SD) Sagar(Chagan) Rathod participated in Pune District Karate Championship and got gold medal.

3. Student of S.Y.B.Voc(SD) Dhiraj Rathod participated in College level Kabaddi competition and got gold Medal.

4. Student of F.Y. B.Voc(SD) Ashok Shegar and Ishak Khan  got first prize in Inter Collegiate  On the Spot Poster competition at Genba Sopanrao Moze college.
